FIELD: heat-power engineering for gas turbine electric power plants. SUBSTANCE: when start is effected by means of starter, compressor shaft is driven up to the speed after which fuel is fed and is ignited in combustion chamber. Valves are open and gas from the high- pressure turbine is discharged to exhaust line. Low-pressure turbine rigidly connected with half-coupling, reduction gear and electric generator is immovable. After attaining steady state condition of operation and disconnecting the starter, valves are closed and rate of fuel feed to the combustion chamber is increased and working gas is fed to the low-pressure turbine. After synchronization of half-couplings, decoupler is engaged, thus rigidly interconnecting the shafts. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
