FIELD: breaking bridges of loose materials in hoppers. SUBSTANCE: device has tank accommodating compressed air with a discharge nozzle. The tank contains cylinder with piston connected by rod with outlet valve, and a system for feeding and discharging compressed air. Efficiency of bridge breaking depends on the energy of compressed air pulse escaping from nozzle. This in turn depends on the response of opening of the outlet valve. The valve opens faster the faster air present in rod end chamber escapes outside. The outlet pipe has a nozzle communicating with compressed air pipe to accelerate the escape of air from the rod end cavity. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of bridge breaking. 2 dwg
