FIELD: preparation of concentrated ammonium nitrate solutions. SUBSTANCE: the process comprises neutralizing nitric acid with ammonia in a horizontal tubular reactor in which, in order to reduce nitrogen losses, the reaction is carried out at a total flow rate of nitric acid and ammonia of more than 150 kg/h·cm2 or at a total flow rate of nitric acid and ammonia less than 150 kg/h·cm2. The reaction solution is recycled to the neutralization stage in a volumetric ratio of 1-5: 1 of the solutions being recycled and formed at the neutralization stage. The process makes it possible to reduce nitrogen losses to 5.8-0.15 vol. % . EFFECT: improved properties of the concentrated ammonium nitrate solution. 1 dwg
