FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves interaction of ammonia, carbon dioxide in a single reaction space under high pressure and temperature and by recirculation of at least part of unreacted products obtained in regeneration section. Method involves synthesis reaction (A) between highly pure reagents and synthesis reaction (B) between less pure reagents recovered from regeneration section. Reaction A) means reaction of adiabatic type (A1) or with partial reaction heat removing (A2). About 75% urea is obtained in reaction zone using highly pure reagents and about 25% - with recirculating reagents. EFFECT: improved method of synthesis. 1 cl, 4 dwg
