FIELD: replacement and laying of switch blocks. SUBSTANCE: device has platform 1 on which support 2 for switch block is rigidly attached. Installed on one end of platform 1 is cantilever beam 3 for turning counterclockwise by drive round longitudinal axis. Support 2 and beam 3 are trapezoidal in cross-section and carry roller supports 7 and 8 on their sides. Roller supports serve to convey switch blocks along device by means of winch 6. Switch block is held on beam 3 by gripping members 4. Beam positioned above zone of block laying is turned as it assumes horizontal position above zone of laying. Then, is lowered and installed.
