Abstract RU 2013591 C1

FIELD: automotive engineering. SUBSTANCE: device has hollow cylindrical casing closed by heads at ends and accommodating rotor. Casing and rotor are movably journalled in bearings of fixed side plates. Midportion of the casing has intermediate plate to divide it into separate cylindrical sections, particularly compression and working sections. Each section has a partition piston secured to inner surface of the cylindrical section by double hinge mechanism connected to a shuttle mechanism for changing the position of the partition piston. Combustion chamber is spherical, and is located in the working section. The movable casing and rotor have a synchronization mechanism. An expansion in displacement volume occurs thanks to eccentricity of the rotor. Working mixture is admitted to the volume along passages. This mixture is compressed after a second revolution, and with valve open it is forced to the combustion chamber of the working section where fuel expands to execute useful work, particularly to rotate the rotor of the engine.
