FIELD: mechanical engineering, measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: surface temperature of outer ring face of shaft support ball bearing is scanning by thermal radiation detector which signal is correlative with mechanical flow strength distribution in bearing ring under examining. Mechanical strength curve diagram is reproduced by visual monitor to compare it with calibration one. Bearing dynamical loading strength is determining by curve diagram of flow mechanical strength using and radial force action upon rotating shaft is judged by corresponding analytic dependence taking into account. Method do not requires force pickup using or some special force metering elements, but it is essentially close to full-scale testing of mechanical machine operation. EFFECT: more effective method for radial force determining in rotating shaft bearings. 2 dwg
