FIELD: manufacture of engines, pumps and compressors. SUBSTANCE: arranged in the housing is stator ring with profiled inner surface. Mounted in the stator ring on the shaft is rotor with slots which receive separating plates which are convex on side of ring. Plates are mounted for reciprocating the precompressing chambers under them and working chamber in the ring. Each plate is provided with through passage along the longitudinal axis of symmetry; this through passage brings the chamber under plate in communication with working chamber. Lateral walls of each slot are made at acute angle which is between 5 to 28 deg. relative to radial direction. Groove on the convex side of plate is in communication with through passage.
