FIELD: plastic tiles. SUBSTANCE: covering includes base and plastic tiles laid on it in spaced relation to each other. Each tile has walls and supporting grate attached to them. Grate has longitudinal and transverse members equal in size with supporting legs of similar length connected in points of intersection to form intermediate ports, and peripheral walls have locking means. Floor covering has continuous sheet of plastic of same thickness forming face layer connected with peripheral walls, and gap between tile peripheral walls is constant and equals 0.5-2.0 mm. Tiles are installed relative to one another for flexible displacement within gap range. Locking means are flexible. Provision is made of making thickness of face layer equal to at least 15 mm of linear low-density polyethylene. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 6 cl, 6 dwg
