FIELD: check and tests of firearm. SUBSTANCE: alphabetic and digital information in the form of embossed symbols is applied onto the surfaces of firearm components that come in contact with the external surfaces of cartridge elements to obtain their embossings on the external surfaces of cartridge elements in the process of fire. Embossed symbols are applied onto the firearm components that come in contact with the cartridge case and/or cartridge primer. Embossed symbols are applied in a binary code in the form of tetrads. A bench mark is introduced to indicate the beginning of the reading and separate the alphabetic and digital parts of information. In a tetrad unities are designated by depressions, and zeroes - by absence of the latters in the tetrad. Tetrads of embossed symbols are applied onto the large cone of the cartridge chamber.
