FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: installation comprises frame, revolving conveyor 2, combing members 4 installed above and provided with fingers for separating layers of plants, and vertical cross-slat conveyors 5 whose ends are alternatively mounted on common crankshaft. Distance between revolving conveyor and combing members is changed due to force of hydraulic cylinder 15 applied to two-arm lever 14 having a rotatable axis 17. Motion is transmitted to movable axle b of crankshaft and to frame 13 of combing members 4 which turn around movable axle a of crankshaft, thus lifting combing members 4 above conveyor 2. EFFECT: higher quality of batched separation of plant layer from roll achieved by adjusting distance between revolving conveyor and combing members. 2 cl, 4 dwg
