FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves placing the green mass by layers on inflow channels, ventilating and drying it. Warm and cooled air is delivered alternatively and the mass is treated with ammonia before drying. Layers of green mass are separated by layers of air. In the course of drying the moist air is removed from the mass by heating its upper part and the covering of the mass. Device comprises a system consisting of channels 1,3, vertical pipe 2, solar torus-shaped pipes 15 and 16. Pipe 2 has ports 7 and 8, draw-out pipe 9, heat-accumulating chamber 12 , and roof 10 with grate 11 underneath. EFFECT: improved functional and operating characteristics. 7 cl, 1 tbl, 9 dwg
