FIELD: pumps. SUBSTANCE: method involves pumping of a variable temperature fluid through a tested pump at constant speed of rotation of the shaft, reduction of the pumped fluid flow rate and setting the pump into a cavitation stall mode. The pumped fluid flow rate reduction is provided up to complete stop of the pump feeding, and while providing non-cavitation mode of operation the inlet pressure is reduced and the pump is set into the cavitation stall mode. After this the attained level of the inlet pressure is held constant and the fluid flow rate is simultaneously increased up to the initial value. EFFECT: improved quality. 1 dwg
