SUBSTANCE: unit has bin 1 holding rods 2 positioned in parallel in the horizontal plane and a clamping device being lever 3 and serving for fixing the rod by one end as its other end has loops with sausages suspended on it. The unit also accommodates two transportation facilities mounted in series one after the other with the first facility being used for feeding the rods item by item from the bin to the clamping device and the second one receiving and accumulating the rods with sausages suspended on them as they leave the clamping device. The transportation facilities are arranged so that the rods placed in them are in the horizontal position in parallel to those in the bin. EFFECT: higher velocity, reduced labor and energy intensity.
