AUTOMATIC MACHINE FOR CHECKING AND SORTING BEARING RACES Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: two-shoulder cylindrical races roll down along chute of loading device, and are pushed one by one through positioner holder into pocket. Trapezoidal plates of holder turn the race from vertical into horizontal position. After that manipulator arm transferees race from pocket onto table. When table goes down into reception socket of measuring station, race wall moves between concentrically disposed tips of immovable rests and arrested test prods. Then race is positioned by tips of immovable rests in radial direction with respect to its cylindrical surface, generatrix of which is straight line, while measuring tips of prods come in contact with cylindrical surface of race, generatrix of which is broken line, and register diameter of raceway between shoulders. When manipulator arm brings next race, the handled race is shifted by arm pusher from lifted table into curved inlet part of sorting device chute. Curve of chute is shaped in such a way that race again acquires vertical position and cut-off member directs moving race into outlet trough of corresponding sort group. When measuring station needs to be readjusted, reference race is transferred by manipulator arm from pocket onto table and lowered into measuring station socket. Prods measure the reference race and transmit corresponding compensation signal to measuring station for further use in the course of following checks. After that manipulator arm returns reference race into pocket. EFFECT: improved accuracy of checking and sorting operations. 10 dwg
