FIELD: seaplanes or amphibians. SUBSTANCE: hand-operated onboard winch intended preferably for seaplanes has housing 2 accommodating barrel 3 with load rope 4. Barrel 3 is connected with drive 5 through automatic brake 6. Drive 5 incorporates two sheave wheels 8 and 9 mounted on drive shaft 7. Ropes 10 and 11 are wound on sheave wheels 8 and 9 in mutually opposite directions. One end of each rope is fastened to respective sheave wheel. Second end of each rope is provided with handle. Each sheave wheel is fitted with torsion spring 15 and 16, one end of which is fastened to housing 2 and the second to sheave 8 or 9 respectively. Besides, each sheave wheel is provided with freewheel clutch 17 and 18 and drive 5 has fork 19 for successive engagement of clutches 17 and 18. EFFECT: improved reliability of winch operation. 5 dwg
