FIELD: refractory materials production. SUBSTANCE: mass components are introduced into a mixer as follows: large fraction of main inert component; half the required amount of graphite; intermediate fraction of silicon carbide; the remaining part of graphite; all fine- fraction components (clay, silicon). After introduction of each ingredient, a portion of binder is added in the proportion 2:3:3:6, respectively. The continuous mixing is carried out in a double-motion paddle mixer. The resulting mass id dried up to the required moisture content. Products made of the mass of the invention have increased serviceability. The mass enables to manufacturing enlarged range of products, with the amount of rejects reduced up to 20%. EFFECT: enlarged service capabilities; enlarged product line; reduced amount of rejects. 1 tbl
