FIELD: electroplating. SUBSTANCE: unit is used for supplying electric power to the drum body mounted for rotation about the horizontal axis when acted upon by the drive located on the base and having rotation transfer members arranged on it. The unit has means for relieving torsional stresses. It has also input leads being insulated wires with stationary and rotatable sections provided on them. The latters have a flexible shell placed about them and rigidly bound by its one end to the hollow axis of the above-mentioned drum as the other end is attached to the base. The unit differs from the conventional ones in that it has frame operated electrically and provided with members for transferring its rotation about a vertical axis. The above-mentioned drum is positioned in a new way. The input leads have their stationary and rotatable sections uniquely designed as also is the flexible shell having perforated guides for the rotatable sections to rest on. EFFECT: higher quality of the electrolyte coating applied, safety and more simple design. 3 cl, 4 dwg
