FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: mechanism of forced return of thermal relay is manufactured in the form of tetrahedral hollow button. Its inner space houses return compression spring, current-conducting plate shunting contact plates of electric change-over switch mounted on body in various combinations is located over perimeter of outer edge. Remote kinematic coupling between change-over switch and thermal sensitive element is manufactured in the form of rigid rod positioned in tube of thermal cartridge. On end of it is clamped in meltable substance, the other one carries ratchet element engaging fixing bar. EFFECT: space-saving design, reduced sizes, versatility with capability to switch electric circuits to opening, closure and change-over and to establish visually fact of operation of thermal relay. 2 cl, 4 dwg
