FIELD: rail transportation. SUBSTANCE: unit has autotrolley mounted on the adjacent track and having swing crane and an assembly of portable members to be positioned on tracks in the region reserved for the movement of the selected car. The trolley has a hydraulic pump set, current generator and a winch positioned on it. Guides formed by sections with rail lengths hinged together are laid to produce a transverse track for moving the car. The latter has its wheels lifted through V-shaped shoes actuated by hydraulic cylinders attached to hydraulic pump set 2 via flexible pipes. The cars are moved by means of a rope-and-block system fittable to the adjacent rail tracks and also through a crosspiece with slippers supporting the wheels of the car truck. To move the cars along the tracks swing beams 4, 5 are used having hydraulic braces 6, 7 to be introduced into the intercar space from the trolley moving along the adjacent track.
