FIELD: biochemistry. SUBSTANCE: examined sample is milled, and enzymic preparation exo-1,3-b- glucanase from fungus Geotrichum candidum F-220 is added (0.1-1.5 IU of 1,3-b-glucanase activity/1 mg sample). Hydrolysis is carried out for 24-72 h at 40 C, and quantity of glucose formed is determined. EFFECT: improved method of glucane assay.
