FIELD: refrigerating engineering. SUBSTANCE: water is poured into containers in form of pack or hose made of elastic material, preferably of polyethylene film, which are then sealed and placed on pans with clearance in between. Pan has flat bottom and is divided by partitions into cells of size corresponding to size of containers filled with water with due account of expected increase in volume caused by water freezing. Made in pan bottom and partitions are holes to provide cooling of container with cold air. Pans can be placed in stacks in housing with air passages formed between stack and housing walls.
