FIELD: measurement technology, monitoring and measuring concentrations of gases in air. SUBSTANCE: sensor has electrodes, electrolyte in the form of a pellet and hydrophilic wick for supplying electrolyte to the electrodes. The electrolyte contains chemical elements of electrolyte itself, buffer components and is impregnated with chemical composition absorbing moisture from environment for maintaining the electrolyte in moist state. The sensor furthermore has a membrane covering one of the electrodes and made of hygroscopic material. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy. 4 cl, 2 dwg
