FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: in cases of femoral slow consolidation, arthrotomy of the knee joint is performed and, in moving aside the kneepan, the medullar canal is drilled from the joint side through the fracture region to the upper fragment. A perforator is inserted into the drilled canal at a level established according to the roentgenogram. Longitudinal dissections of the endosteal callus are carried out by turning the perforator around its axis by its handle at a preset angle. The number of dissections and the distance between them are determined depending on the character of the fracture, callus quality, and the subjective data of the patient. EFFECT: acceleration of fragment consolidation process with lower rate of surgical traumatism.
