FIELD: concentration of minerals. SUBSTANCE: hydrocyclone has cylindrical section 1, cylindrical-conical section 2 and industrial product discharge chamber 3 disposed between sections of hydrocyclone in axial alignment with them. Chamber 3 has discharge branch pipe 4. Helical channel 5 communicates section 1 with section 2 and has radius of curvature smoothly decreasing from section 1 to section 2. Basic mixture is delivered into section 1, where it is exposed to the action of centrifugal force and is separated into light and heavy fractions. Light fraction is discharged through sleeve 7 and branch pipe 8. Heavy fraction is passed through channel 5 to be delivered into section 2. While flowing through channel 5, the mixture is separated into layers, which are completely separated in section 2 into industrial product discharged through sleeve 9 and branch pipe and heavy product discharged through branch pipe 10.
