FIELD: electrical equipment of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: the method involves cleaning the glasses of transport facilities by movement of working blades of windshield wiper over the glass surface and delivering the washing fluid under said blades. Wiper blades move simultaneously in intersecting directions so that at least one blade is moved along the longitudinal axis of the wiper. The device for realization of the above method comprises a windshield wiper of trough-like shape with working blades arranged along the contour of the base and with a cavity formed by the internal surface of the wiper. It is provided with an auger capable of rotating so that working edges of auger interact with the glass surface. EFFECT: windshield cleaning efficiency increased by wipers moving in intersecting directions and by spiral flow of washing fluid. 6 cl, 2 dwg
