FIELD: earth-moving machines. SUBSTANCE: mechanical shovel includes running gear which is connected through supporting-and-turning mechanism with revolving platform on which working equipment and hydraulic cylinders are mounted. Attached to hydraulic cylinder rod is grip with roller. Counterweight is hinged to nonrevolving part and is made in form of truck with wheels and transverse arc-shaped beam. In initial position beam with roller will not interact and dies not hinder free rotation of revolving platform. During filling ground into bucket, pressure in head end hydraulic cylinder of boom drive and hydraulic distributor control chamber considerably rises. Control valve overcomes spring force, rises and communicates head end of hydraulic cylinder with return line, and rod end with hydraulic accumulator. Rod together with grip rises to press roller to upper flange of transverse beam and to ensure interlocking of revolving platform with counterweight and nonrevolving part. Maximum overturning moment during filling the bucket with ground is compensated by moment produced by counterweight and nonrevolving part gravity force. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 dwg
