FIELD: conversion of wave energy into electrical energy. SUBSTANCE: mounted immovably on the bottom of basin is supporting device to which upright is hinged which is linked with float chamber for vertical reciprocation. Float chamber is provided with electric generator and converter for conversion of translational motion of float chamber into rotary motion of electric generator rotor which is made in form of ball-and-screw gearing whose nut is linked with rotor and screw is linked with upright. Hollow rotor receives the ball-and-screw gearing. Nut and screw are linked rigidly. Electric generator housing is secured on float chamber. Upright may be of umbrella-shaped construction. Several electric generators may be linked with float chamber. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 5 dwg
