EXPANSION BOLT Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: expansion bolt is made in form of hollow rod 1 with head 4 and starting section 6. Expansion part of bolt has large number of expansion disks 2 and 3 arranged in succession. In the expansion part, rod consists of two longitudinal flexible members. Even disks are located on inner side of one flexible member and odd disks are similarly located on other flexible member. Disks 2 and 3 are provided with eccentric holes which are partially matched and form helical passage in which fastening screw is driven. In driving the screw, expansion disks move outside in opposite directions, thus reliability pressing the expansion bolt both in monolithic and hollow materials. Expansion bolt is made of synthetic material. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 7 cl, 7 dwg
