FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: plastic expansion bolt has a body provided with passageway inside it and longitudinal slot. The passageway has a portion for the fastening screw and a converging portion that is connected to it. The cross- section of the converging passageway is a diamond. One of the diagonals of the diamond is coincident with the slot and corresponds to the diameter of the cylindrical portion. The second diagonal decreases in the direction of the front end of the body. The end of the passageway may be at a distance from the end face of the front end of the body. The dimension of the decreasing diagonal of the diamond is equal to the width of the slot at the end of the passageway. The portion of the slot from the side of the front end is Z-shaped. The outer sides of the body are provided with longitudinal grooves along both of the edges. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 4 cl, 4 dwg
