FIELD: writing, storing and reading of data. SUBSTANCE: cartridge has a body, including lower part, forming its bottom, and an upper part, forming its cover. The lower and the upper parts together form a rear and a lateral walls and at least a portion of a front wall. The bottom and the cover parts, adjacent with the front wall, are provided by convex portions. The front wall has at least one opening for receiving at least one magnetic head of the tape recorder. The cartridge also has two reels, mounted in the same plane, and a magnetic tape, which may be wound on the reels and unwound off them. The upper and the lower parts are mainly flat ones; the body has an additional portion, forming both convex parts and a large part of the front wall.
