FIELD: wood-working industry. SUBSTANCE: device has frame 1, belt saw 2, conveyor with guides 3, carriages 4 on rolling platforms 5 and 6 with stops 15, 16. Carriages 4 are provided with locks 30, fingers 25, which are engageable with drive chain transmission 26. Device is further provided with belt drive 37, whose circumferential velocity exceeds that of chain drive 26. Carriages are provided with screw and stopping member for regulating length of carriages. Guiding rule 38 and stop 36 are positioned on the path of displacement of carriage. During operation of device bar 39 adapted to be sawn is pressed to guiding rule 38. In the process of displacement of carriage saw 2 cuts part from bar 39. Then lever 31 of lock 30 is moved to stop 36. As a result lock 30 is opened and front carriage 4 is rolled onto lower run of conveyor 3 and approached to terminating carriage by means of belt drive 37 to be brought into engagement with this carriage by lock 30.
