FIELD: production of mineral fertilizers. SUBSTANCE: the method for reducing caking of potassium fertilizer comprises applying a conditioning additive. The additive is glycerol tar in an amount of 0.03-0.25% by weight of the fertilizer. The method makes it possible to reduce caking of potassium chloride from 0.58 to 0,44-0,34 kg/cm2, i.e. by 1.4-1.7 times. EFFECT: improved properties of the fertilizer. 1 tbl
