FIELD: paper industry. SUBSTANCE: paper is prepared from monocomponent fibers obtained from modified polyethyleneterephthalate with linear structure containing (CH2CH2O)n-links, where n = 2-3, and showing m. p. 200-250 C, or n = 3-6 with m. p. 80-190 C, or a mixture of fibers indicated, or from bicomponent fiber one of which is nonmodified polyethyleneterephthalate, and the other component is one of modified polyethyleneterephthalates indicated above, or from tricomponent fiber obtained from nonmodified and indicated above modified polyethyleneterephthalates. It can contain additionally cellulose and/or chemical fiber and binder. EFFECT: improved method of paper making. 5 cl, 4 tbl
