FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical technology of fibrous materials and relates to multi-filamentary complex polyester fibers. Fiber comprises at least one polymer comprising a polyester and at least one filler, containing surface-treated calcium carbonate, comprising, at least an accessible surface area, a treated layer, comprising a hydrophobizing agent selected from the group consisting of an aliphatic carboxylic acid, having a total number of carbon atoms from C4 up to C28, and/or its reaction products, monosubstituted succinic anhydride, consisting of succinic anhydride monosubstituted by a group, selected from a linear, branched, aliphatic and cyclic group having a total number of carbon atoms of at least C2 up to C30 in the substituent, and/or its reaction products, a mixture of phosphoric acid esters from one or more phosphoric acid monoesters and/or reaction products thereof and one or more phosphoric acid diesters and/or reaction products thereof, and mixtures thereof. Invention provides creation of a multi-filament fiber, having improved mechanical rigidity, thermal conductivity and increased opacity.
