SUBSTANCE: shock absorber with adjustable force of hydraulic damping has cylinder, hollow rod with adjustable stem, piston with bypass valves and compensating chamber. Rod holds aneroid devices of direct and reverse strokes for control of bypass valves. Reverse stroke aneroid has cap with tail-piece engageable with adjustable rod.
