FIELD: encoding of instant values of fast process signals. SUBSTANCE: analog-to-digital conversion method based on comparison of converted signal with sets of sampling levels and use of comparison results for code shaping, involves comparison of converted signal simultaneously with all sets of sampling levels each next of which is offset in respect to preceding one by Δ/n of sampling step, where Δ is sampling step in each set of levels, n is number of sets having equal quantity of sampling levels.
