FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: this new method of treating persisting respiratory virus diseases prescribes daily intranasaly administering exogenous leukocytic interferon in dose of 0.1 to 0.2 once a day in the morning during 2 to 2.5 months and at the same time perorally administering antioxidant coretinoids in doses depending on age three times a day during 2 to 2.5 months and then perorally administering vegetational-origin exogenous interferon generation stimulators, 1.5 to 2.0 months after starting administration of exogenous interferon, three times a day during 2.0 to 2.5 months in doses depending upon specific age. Clinical effectiveness of using this method of treatment is 2.5 to 3.0 times as great as that yielded by basic curing methods. Remission shows itself in 88 % of patients. Rate of occurrence of acute respiratory diseases has dropped to about 3,57 ± 0,19. Longevity of remission has certainly extended to about 97,83 ± 0,18 days.
