METHOD OF EXPLOITATION AND SQUEEZING FILTER FOR MIXTURES OF LIQUID AND SOLID BODY Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: squeezing filters. SUBSTANCE: mixture of liquid and solid body is supplied into space between filtering element and flexible membrane, which is not permeable for liquid; the membrane overlaps filtering element. Side of the membrane, which is not in contact with mixture of liquid and solid body, is loaded with liquid working medium form reserve tank. Then liquid is squeezed through filtering element by means of pressure created by working medium, and solid body is deposited onto filtering element; moisture is removed from the solid body. To achieve desired degree of moisture removal as value of measurement, the speed of advanced flux of working medium is measured continuously. Advance of working medium is terminated when value of measurement reaches designed value. Squeezing filter has filtering element for filtering mixture of liquid and solid body, non-permeable for liquid flexible membrane, which overlaps filtering element, branch pipe for introduction of mixture of liquid and solid body into space between filtering element and membrane, reserve tank for liquid working medium, which is loaded onto membrane from the side which is not in contact with mixture. The filter is provided with measuring device for determining velocity of flux of working medium, which is advanced from reserve tank to membrane.
