FIELD: shaping the metals. SUBSTANCE: method for production of cylindrical articles includes bending of strip and bringing its free end into worm mechanism. Housing of worm mechanism for clamp blank is fixed during bending. First free end of strip on section of 1/2 its length is bent beginning from middle then the second half is bent beginning from opposite end, worm mechanism is rotated, and then free end of strip is brought in it and is moved synchronic with worm rotation. Device for assembly of cylindrical articles type "worm clamp" has split arbor with 2 half-cylinders, one from them is movable, mechanism for blank fixation and punch. Profiled groove is carried out in movable part of split arbor. Punch is carried out with S-shaped bending working surface and pushing concave surface, with radial equal to outside radius of clamp. Punch is located on satellite axis of glider mechanism, whose solar gear is coaxial with cylindrical arbor. Movable half-arbor is coupled rigid with fixation mechanism.
