COMPOSITION FOR MANUFACTURE OF SOFT WOOD-WOOL SLABS Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: wood working industry. SUBSTANCE: composition used in manufacture of soft wood-wool slabs includes following components (taken in absolute dry mass ratio): 16.7 to 24.3 percent by mass wood-wool stuff, 68.9 to 73.7 percent by mass pulp resulting from purification of return water discharged from preliminary wood processing shops, 4.8 to 8.3 percent by mass wood-and-paper tailings, and 1.7 to 2.4 percent by mass water repellant. Admixed components are molded on mold grid, subjected to vacuum dehydration and remolding and resultant blanket is dried. EFFECT: higher ultimate bending strength of end products, greater efficiency owing to lower consumption of wood stuff and energy required for crushing wood stuff and higher ecological merits of process involving decontamination of waste waters discharged from preliminary wood processing, wood stuff processing (pulp) and paper processing (tailings) shops. 1 tbl
