FIELD: chemical industry and agriculture. SUBSTANCE: heat treatment is performed in the field of cryogenic temperatures. Liquid or gaseous nitrogen which serves simultaneously as a heat-carrier is used as a foaming agent. One of the pore-forming variants is a "boiling layer" which is obtained when the flow of gaseous nitrogen passes through granulated ammonium nitrate. Gaseous nitrogen is obtained at the effect of temperature exceeding 196 C on liquid nitrogen. EFFECT: more efficient ammonium nitrate production process. 2 cl, 3 tbl
