FIELD: oxygen steel-making converters. SUBSTANCE: electroconducting slag and liquid metal are subjected to oxygen lancing and aerodynamic stirring by means of feed of oxygen from cylindrical nozzles 7 of lance 1; the nozzles are made in form of pipes which are distributed along the circle uniformly of the lance. When power is supplied from electric power unit to eight electrodes 3, distributed uniformly along the circle of rim 2 and adjusted in the rim along axis of lance 1 (the rim is mounted in flat-parallel at distance 50-100 mm from lower edge of lance 1) and to eight electrodes 5, distributed uniformly along the circle of side part of lining 4 of the converter (electrodes 5 are disposed at the level of electroconducting slag), the spatial-circular plasma arc is formed, which produces attenuation of forces of atomic interaction of molecules of the slag at directed motion of electric current in the layer of electroconducting slag and in the areas of slag-metal plasma. Molecules tie with oxygen ions. EFFECT: improved capability of intensity of the slag to sulphur-absorption. 6 cl, 3 dwg
