FIELD: oil field equipment. SUBSTANCE: repair unit includes vehicle 1 carrying mounted folding mast 2 and outriggers 3, power tongs containing rotary head, 4, holding tongs 5 and mechanism 6 for their horizontal and vertical self-installation. Mechanism 6 is secured to telescopic hydraulic cylinder 7 and installed on vertical guides 8. Rod of hydraulic cylinder 7 is attached to vehicle by means of hinge member 9 in horizontally turnable bracket 10 for turning round pin 11. Unit also includes tongs control panel 12 resting on hinge-turning lever 13, spider 14 and bracket 15 connected with outrigger for changing over of tongs control panel from working to transportation positions and vice versa.
