OUTFIT FOR RIDGE-CUTTING AND SOWING WORK Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: outfit comprises frame with spring-loaded drive links and subsoil attachments, rotary ridge maker, carriage of drill for single-grain sowing and embedding of seeds. Rotary ridge makers have the form of toothed cones with spherical removable discs secured on base. Cleaners installed between cone teeth are made of split conical rings. Drill carriages extending along center of formed ridge are articulated and spring-loaded on drive link shank. During harrowing of soil ridges and row spaces the toothed cones with removed spherical discs are installed on drive links in a staggered order: with cylindrical toothed drums installed on cone apex in case of overall harrowing, without such drums in case of interrow cultivation while during thinning work, with working tools installed on drive link with feeler device of working members rotated by toothed cones via flexible shaft.
