FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: moistener pipe has holes in its half which is nearer to the root system. Said holes are disposed on top of the pipe and at an angle of 30 and 45 deg for carrying water from sprinkler body. The lower half of pipe is provided with inflatable bags. Before filling of sprinkler with water the deflated bags lie on the moistener bottom. As water fills the moistener body to the holes arranged at 45 deg, its supply is discontinued and bags start to be filled with air. Expanding, the bags displace water towards the soil near the root system. To ensure uniform displacement of water throughout the moistener length, the bags have different elasticity which diminishes from the beginning to end. Inflatable bags always stay on the moistener bottom, being held there by T-shaped projection inserted into T-shaped cutout in body base. Inflated bags displace all water and occupy the entire internal space of moistener. The number of cycles depends on the moistening rate. On completion of watering the bags remain inflated and fill the entire moistener, thereby keeping the water and silt from penetrating back into body. EFFECT: delivery of water from moistener to soil at root system of plants with maximum utilization of moistener pipe volume. 2 cl, 5 dwg
