FIELD: biological sewage trearment. SUBSTANCE: tubular aeration tank is a reservoir with aeration chamber in the form of a shaft, airlift chamber, guide pipe, cylindrical shell positioned coaxially relative to guide pipe, and secondary settling tank with cross partition to form bypass chambers for sludge and water. Upper part of cylindrical shell is provided with overflow slot. Immobilization charge in the form of thin-layer modules is positioned in bypass chambers on both sides of partition between guide pipe and cylindrical shell and between cylindrical shell and shaft walls. Depending on composition of initial sewage and accepted treatment method, charge may be positioned only in upper portion of shaft. Secured to inner surface of guide pipe are augers intended for swirling flow of sewage fed for treanment. Sewage fed for treatment is swirled also in charge modules since their components are disposed at an angle from 45 to 60 deg relative to plane of flow. EFFECT: longitudinal and lateral circulation in aeration tank chambers and in charge, developed surface of sewage contact with biocenosis, compactness of aeration tank design. 4 cl, 6 dwg
