Housing 1 forms some expansion chambers together with partitions 3 and 4. Plate 5 is divided lengthwise into several sections by means of blanks made in form of dents. Exhaust gases flowing from chamber to chamber and passing in succession through sections of plate 5 - housing 1 get silenced and escape to the surrounding medium.
