FIELD: microwave technology. SUBSTANCE: tunable cutoff cavity has irregular waveguide section with critical sectional areas whose ends are connected to below cutoff waveguide sections, excitation and communication components in the form of loops, and tuning element. The latter is made of conducting material in the form of cylindrical rod and mounted for longitudinal displacement on end of one of below cutoff waveguide sections. Cylindrical rod diameter is 0.19 to 0.21 of maximum diameter of irregular waveguide section and its length is greater than that of below cutoff waveguide section. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
