FIELD: fighting underground fires in dead-end mine workings. SUBSTANCE: end valve has body 1 with throat 2 secured on which is a hydraulic cylinder 3 with piston 4 and calibrated spring 5. Throat accommodates locking plugs 6 with circular recess 7 receiving a pin 8 fastened on piston 4. In case of a short-term pressure rise in pipeline 13 above service level, said pressure acts through channels 12 on piston 4 which overrides resistance of spring 5 and is displaced. Pin 8 comes out of recess 7 and releases locking plug 6 which pops out of throat 2 and frees the passage for fire extinguishant. EFFECT: improved design. 1 dwg
